The historical development of the ritual practice Saptavidhānuttarapūjā in Newar Buddhism (Kathmandu Valley, Nepal) analyses Dr. Manik Man Bajracharya. The historian focuses on the roots and evolution of this practice in ancient texts of the early phase of Mahāyāna Buddhism and its later transformation in Vajrayāna Buddhism.
